I was raised in a semi-religious home. My mother was a Christian and my father was not. I later had the privilege of leading him to Christ. I served in the Air Force stationed in Vietnam as well as many other places. No one had ever witnessed to me about Christ, nor invited me to know the Lord.
At age 24, I received Christ as my Savior. I married my wife, Barbara on September 11, 1970. Not long after that we went to Chattanooga, Tennessee to attend Tennessee Temple University. While there, I was called to preach and began to pastor in Alabama. Later, I was called to a church in Tennessee. During my second year in Seminary, we were led to a church in Florida. We pastored there for 5 years and saw the ministry grow from 25 to over 200. During that time, God called us to the mission field where we served for 32 years with Word of Life Fellowship. We were missionaries in Argentina for 17 years, where we planted churches and pastored as well as founded a Christian bi-lingual school.
Due to health reasons, we moved to New York to serve at the Bible Institute in the ministry department, and then as Dean of Students. After six years, we were asked to move to the ministry in Florida where we served for 10 years. While serving there, we returned to the pastorate of the First Baptist Church of Hudson, Florida.
In 2015, we were led to North Carolina to be near our children, and God brought us to Pactolus Baptist Church. We are grateful and feel privileged to pastor a wonderful church with such great people as we have at Pactolus Baptist.
